SECURING GOOD AND LASTING SUCCESS IV

PUTTING GOD FIRST 2

Putting God first means to honour Him above all else. – Proverbs 3:9

The way you honour God is by giving Him the first place in your life.

The way you honour God is by giving Him the first and the best

The way you honour God is by serving Him the first.

As you do your needs will be abundantly supplied to overflowing.

We are either honouring or dishonouring God with our lives as we live.

Hear God Himself – Malachi 1:6

A son honours his father,

A servant honours his master:

God is asking, as your Father where is mine honour?

God is asking, as your master, where is my fear?

It’s time you showed your affection for your Father and Master.

“I have set my affection to the house of my God.”

THE LOVE OF GOD

Your love for God is the very key to securing good and lasting success in life.

What God has is prepared for them that love him.

The quality of your love for God determines the mark you make on the earth.

See the benefits of your love for God – Psalms 91:14 – 16

I will I deliver him: Deliverance

I will set him on high: Promotion

He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: Answers

will be with him in trouble: Defense

I will deliver him, and honour him: Honor

With long life will I satisfy him: Long life

I will shew him my salvation: Unbeatable Victories

For God is love Himself. – 1 Jn 4:16

The kingdom of God is a kingdom of love.

All that God does is out of love. – 1 John 3:1

Every of God’s plan requires the platform of love to deliver.

Self-has occupied the centre of many people’s soul in the church world today.

First you must secure the place for God in your heart. – Proverbs 23:26

Without a heart for God, you are a non-starter in the race of life.

The quality of your love for Him is what determines the strength of the mark you make on earth.

It is your love for God that determines the effect of your giving or service.

WHERE IS THE STARTING POINT?

Thou shalt love the Lord thy God. – Matthew 22:37 – 38

Remember King Solomon? – 1 Kings 3:3

How did he prove his love? – 1 Kings 3:4

a thousand burnt offerings did Solomon offer upon that altar; not just his leftovers,

God was moved in heaven and see the result

God said, ask what I shall give thee. – 1 Kings 3:5

He has given and something from heaven must be given back to him.

The Kingdom of God operates on the principle of sowing and reaping.

Have you been giving what you think will move God on your behalf?

Your ultimate in life is determined by the quality of your love for God.

Which in most cases is demonstrated by your sacrifices.

HOW TO PUT GOD FIRST

This is the first simple and practical step is in tithes and offering. – Malachi 3:8

Tithing is not just another word for the offering.

The tithe and the offering are two entirely different things.

It is extremely important to understand the difference between the two.

A lack of understanding could cause you to miss the scriptural benefits of tithing and giving offerings.

The practice of both, positions you to experience God’s favour.

The Tithe Is Ten Percent

The tithe is ten percent (10%) of a person’s increase.

The tithe is not based on your circumstances.

However, Tithing does not buy God’s blessing rather it is God’s covenant “TOKEN”.

Tithes and Offerings

In offering unlike the tithe, you have the right to determine the amount of his offering.

Your capacity to receive is in direct proportion to your capacity to give; – Luke 6:38

When it comes to offering, there is no set amount or percentage.

Your offering should always reflect your heart of love to Him.

It is a measure of your love for Him.

It is your instrument of honour.

It is your gift of appreciation.

IT proves the sincerity of your love.

In God’s financial order giving is not just an end in itself, everything is affected by the spirit of giving.

If you love Him, you will give to Him

If you love Him, you will give Him first

If you love Him, you will give Him your best

If you love Him, you will give Him your heart.

Your offering is a gift you give to God as an expression of your love for Him.

God does not command a gift that will be a bribe, but it comes from the heart of the giver.

Your offering should always be a statement of your love and gratitude to your God.

Your tithe, on the other hand, is always a statement of your strict obedience and trustworthiness.

Your giving is always reflecting the state of your heart to Him. – 2 Corinthians 8:4 – 5

When you give Him yourself giving your money becomes your delight; it becomes very easy for you.

Every time you will be looking always for more what to give to Him

Giving always connects you with Gods favour when you give correctly. – Ps 45:12

You use your resources to entreat His favour, not your left over.

You use what is valuable to you to entreat His favour.

I see an end come to all your struggles from henceforth!

God’s favour shall not elude you this month in Jesus Name.

May God’s favour locate you this time in Jesus name
