To many believers, a blessed life is synonymous with the successful life?

But Yet the scriptures says:

Blessed are the poor in spirit.

Blessed are those who mourn.

Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you.

Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!

Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.

Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD inputs not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.

Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial.

Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.

Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.

To be blessed means to be fully satisfied.

It is in receiving God’s favor, regardless of the circumstances.

The blessing God gives makes us fully satisfied in him.

What does the Bible mean by “bless”?
A blessing is “the act or words of one that blesses,” or “a thing conducive to happiness or welfare.”

It means to praise, congratulate, or salute.

It means to be happy, to be satisfied and fulfilled.

It means to speak well of: To speak well of someone focusing more on good words or the good report of someone.

A blessing is a statement of goodwill and happiness that is said about another, as well as the condition that fulfills those good words.

God’s original design in creation was for His creatures, including mankind, to experience prosperity, peace, and fulfillment.

But that was ruined when sin entered the world through Adam.

And through His blessing, God wishes to restore His favor on us by the declaration of His goodness.

The ultimate blessing that God has given is the new life and forgiveness that comes through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ.

Blessings aren’t necessarily material things.
