THE IMPACT OF KNOWING HIS WILL
In life stop minding the enemy or what the enemy is doing.
Rather mind your God and His word.
Those who mind God mind His will, because it is always according to His will.
The army of heaven doeth according to His will
On earth, none can stay His hand
On earth His will is unquestionable.
God deals with and among the inhabitant of the earth according to His will
None can challenge His will nor stay His hand from manifesting His will.
It is according to His will
“that I have done all these things at thy word”. – 1 Kings 18:36
that I have done all these things at thy word: That is according to His will.
His word is His will.
It is according to His will not our tears, nor our pains
It is not just being a worshipper but much more doing His will.
It has to be according to his will, for Him to hear us
Let us see the importance of knowing HIS WILL
Note the qualities of these saints at Colossae – Colossians 1:1
They were Faithful brethren.
They had Faith in Christ
They had Love for the saints.
Their hope of heaven was sure
They were fruit bearing
They knew the grace of God in truth:
Their Love in the Spirit impeccable.
With all these great qualities and attributes, they still needed something of higher significance.
What did Apostle Paul desire for them to have on top of all the great qualities they possessed?
The knowledge of his will.
In all wisdom and spiritual understanding.
In all its correct applications;
Knowing how to get the desired results through what you know of scriptures.
Spiritual understanding;
This is what is called revelation
The scriptures are to be understood not struggled or wrestled with. – 2 Peter 3:16
Not all hearing, understand or could understand – Acts 8:30
That you are reading does not mean you understand
You need to be guided and instructed in the Word of God
You need spiritual understanding
God wants to reveal His word to you too.
This why the Lord Jesus said come and learn of me;
Paul the Apostle prayed;
the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; – Eph 1:18
It is your insight that determines your height in life: Work at it.
Nothing will happen except what you make to happen for you.
If you must rule your situations, then you must equally search out the truth of God’s word.
Until it is revealed it is never possessed
You have to be instructed out of the law to know His will.
You need spiritual instructors – 2 Kings 12:2
And Jehoash did that which was right in the sight of the LORD all his days wherein Jehoiada the priest instructed him.
How well instructed you are will determine how well you are able to do the will of the Lord
See the effect of knowing His will
- That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing,
- Become fruitful in every good work,
- Increasing in the knowledge of God;
- Strengthened with all might
It’s your time to learn and be instructed
