THE PRINCIPLES OF SUCCESS VI (June 24, 2018)

First is for a person to have a chosen goal.
Then comes the pursuit of same, by preparing through the process of learning and training oneself for the purpose of accomplishing it.
Then we talked about adequate preparation spiritual, mental and physical.
Yet just all these will show no active progress toward realizing one’s goal.
After all, success is not in preparation in itself, it is an accomplishment: It is doing.

DRIVE: DOING
Accomplishment requires motion and activity.
An inactive person will not accomplish.
Accomplishment is in the doing.
Therefore, the fourth success principle is that of DRIVE!
Many never rise above whatever job they may have because they have no drive.
No half-hearted effort ever carries anyone far enough to reach its goal.
The ones who make it are those who employ drive or what we also call diligence
Without energy, drive, constant and propulsion, a person need never expect to become truly successful.

Lack of adequate use will bring decay – Ecclesiastes 10:18
More often than not, God’s plan and purpose are realized by following definite steps as unveiled in scriptures.

For lack of use, a building runs down and because we are God’s building, our worth can only be enhanced through productive engagement. – 1 Corinthians 6:19
Just as the physical building reduces in value for lack of use, our body will begin to decay when we are unproductive.
Slot fullness causes decay, you need to be adequately and productively engaged to succeed in life.
The truth is you continuously lose value when you are not adequately engaged.
Your values will continue to be enhanced through diligence.

THE LAW OF DILIGENCE
What is diligence?
It is a steady, earnest, and energetic effort: persevering application
It is the constant and earnest effort to accomplish what is undertaken; persistent exertion of body or mind.
It is conscientiousness in paying proper attention to a task; giving the degree of care required in a given situation
It is persevering determination to perform a task
It is investing the best of one’s time, energy and resources in the pursuit of a given task.
Diligence is all about hard work, and it is proved that only hard workers ever become high flyers.
It is not just being busy but being productively engaged and focused in the pursuit of a given task.

You will never come across any success story either in scriptures or in modern times without a demonstration of diligence.
Diligence here simply means hard work.
Diligence is a universal demand for anyone who desires success in life, and nothing else can be a substitute for it.
Diligence is one of the keys to the restoration of our human dignity.
This is what guarantees outstanding accomplishment in life.

No one can get out of life more than what he puts into it, because whatsoever a man sows that shall he reap. – Galatians 6:7
And the degree to which you sow whatever you sow will determine the amount of it that comes your way. – 2 Corinthians 9:6 ‭‭‬‬

The sluggard is sure to end up a failure. – Proverbs 24:30-34
‭The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute.‭ ‬‬‬‬‬‬- Proverbs 12:24‬‬
‭‭The soul of the sluggard desireth, and ‭hath‭ nothing: but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat.‭ ‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬- Proverbs 13:4‬‬‬‬‬
‬‬‬‬‬‬‬
DILIGENCE IN WHAT?
Diligence in the Word
You’re not going to walk in success without first being diligent in hearing and doing the Word. – Joshua 1:8
Success is in first being diligently hearing and doing the Word.
Most people don’t want to hear that success is going to require diligence in the Word.
The worlds are framed by the word of God, so the Word rules here.
Living in the Word is the authentic way out of the problems of life.
To be successful you’re supposed to be skilful in the Word of Righteousness. – Hebrews 5:12 – 14
Most times when we don’t know what to do, the truth is we’re supposed to know what to do because it is already revealed in the word.
It is as we look into the Word, find out what it says, and do same that we make your way prosperous and have good success. Joshua 1:8
The main reason things aren’t happening in many of our lives is because of lack of diligence in the word.

‭‭As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come.‭ ‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

Nothing just happens. – Proverbs 26:2
Blessings don’t just happen and also curses don’t just happen. – 28:1 – 2, 15
If you do what the word says diligently you’re going to walk in good success, if you don’t you won’t.
You’re where you are right now because of what you have or haven’t done from the Word.
Remember you are responsible for the happenings of your life.
This is a spiritual law; If you despise and neglect the Word destruction is going to be in your life. – Proverbs 13:13
What is most important to you, you’ll be diligent at Diligence will manifest with the highest priority

WHO OR WHAT DO YOU HONOR? – Mathew 5:23
What you honour you give priority to.
What you give priority to you’ll be diligent with.
Those who honour the Word will have the rewards to show for it in their lives. – 1 Samuel 2:30
You have to engage the demands of success to be successful.
Whatever has the highest place in your life gets the highest priority as you honour it and give value to it the most
When you honour something it’s valuable to you and because it is, it has priority in your life.

HONOR GOD FIRST
God expects you to honour Him first to show that you value Him the most.
Honor God and His Word.
You honor Him first with your tithe and offerings. – Malachi 1:6 – 8
Stop playing with your offering, it carries a lot of meaning to God. – Proverbs 3:9 – 10

Whatever you honor and value the most you’ll give priority to in your life and be diligent at.
Many are not diligent in the Word because it has no priority in their lives.

Diligence in the word has been misplaced because the honor of God has been misplaced
Don’t you know whose words you give your attention to you honor.

How do you know what or who you honor?
Where you invest your effort and energy is what you honor
What you commit your Physical or Mental Strength to intently is what you honor.
Where you invest your time is what you honor
Where you invest your money is what you honor
Where you invest your labor is what you honor
If your honor is misplaced your priorities will be misplaced and your commitment and diligence will be misplaced.
And as a result, success will not manifest.
God knows whether you’re honoring Him or not. – Matthew 15:8

We have to attach the proper value to the proper things. – Mt 13:45 – 46
Never you think that you can honor God while giving his Word little or no attention.
Many of the times what men see as important God sees as meaningless.
And on our part what God sees as important we most times don’t have time for it.
Because we don’t see as valuable

Are you as the person who honors God and His Word above all else?
Its time you checked your priorities in life and release your faith to pursue diligently.
What you honor you give priority to and what you give priority to you’ll be diligent with.

Recognizing these principles and engaging them will make your journey to success in life a ‘sweat less’ one.
One of the vital steps to success is diligence.
The natural and spiritual world are governed by laws; that is to say “If you do this, this happens”
You can’t ignore the spiritual law and then be surprised when the results of the law that you put into motion show up in your life
Rise up and get these laws working in your favor.
YOU WILL GO FORWARD
It is your season
Jesus is Lord!
