Matt. 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

First thing first or every other labor becomes a waste.

Ec 10:15 The labour of the foolish wearieth every one of them, because he knoweth not how to go to the city.

Why let secondary things first and neglect things that should be first. When we do not put first things first, why wonder when things do not go right.

In Prayer Even when it comes to praying, in most cases we are putting ourselves first. Yet the Bible does not teach that. Many times prayers are not answered, because we are putting ourselves first.

Remember what we saw last time? The lord Jesus Himself taught us to pray “thy kingdom come” first before give us this day our daily bread. Apostle Paul also said we should pray first for “for kings, and for all that are in authority.” This is why today I am sharing with you some secrets from heaven.

God is a God of secrets.

De 29:29 The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.

Job said Job 29:4 As I was in the days of my youth when the secret of God was upon my tabernacle;

God does not just bless

God’s blessings are rewarding

God blesses to be a blessing

God’s blessings revolves around your service in His kingdom It is time to position yourself for an encounter with the true light, which will establish your dominion. If you are truly, a committed member of this church you are appointed to be blessed.

Ps 65:4 Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.

There is what is called the goodness of His house.

The church carries goodness for those who are committed to it. Every God-ordained church carries her own kind goodness. Every fellowship opportunity is a privilege to be blessed. I want you to know that God has good things reserved for those who serve in His house. It is a great opportunity to be in a church like this; a church where the truth of God’s word is given priority. May you truly encounter the goodness of this house.

Every God-ordained church is a centre of the distribution of blessings. These blessings comes as we take advantage of the opportunities that God sends our way. The blessings of God are rewards. Rewards for the various opportunities we take advantage of.

Opportunity:

This is a stroke of fortune, which can either be gained or lost. It is an occasion offering possibility, an advantageous position offering prospect. It is “a good chance for advancement or progress”. We need to understand the power of opportunity.

Look at what the bible says about the enemy of your destiny “the devil” Ephesians 4:27 Neither give place to the devil [give no opportunity to him].

The devil is always looking for opportunities to entrap your destiny.

The devil is an opportunist

Luke 4:13 “Now when the devil had ended every temptation, he departed from Him until an opportune time”.

1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

What is that saying? Satan is looking for opportunity to catch you.

Lu 22:6 And he promised and sought opportunity to betray him unto them in the absence of the multitude.

“So from that time he sought opportunity to betray him”. We need to understand the power of opportunity.

Eph 5:16 making the most of every opportunity because the days are evil. NIV

Someone once said “The Highway of life is dotted with an opportunity every point of the way”. Yes “the days are evil” – but still full of opportunities. Opportunities to prove your faithfulness to God.

Someone also said: In every crisis, there is both danger and opportunity. In a crisis, be aware of the danger–but recognize the opportunity. Goliath was a great danger, but an amazing opportunity as well. Everyone fled but David took the opportunity and the throne with it. We need to seize every opportunity to do good, especially to those who are of the household of faith.

Galatians 6:10 Therefore, as we have an opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.

As we have opportunity, let us do good

Seize the remaining days of this year with a sense of opportunity. There are always opportunities to serve and opportunities to be faithful in the church. Look out for such and grab them for your rise and blessing.

Apostle Paul said in Phil 4:10 …. Indeed, you have been concerned, but you had no opportunity to show it. NIV

Remember the Shunammite woman in 2 Kg. 4:13 .. you have been careful for us with all this care; what is to be done for you?…

When you grab your opportunity to take care of the man of God something will be done for you.

The Opportunity, when taken, open up the heavens for you. Covenant opportunities stand as the gateway to your destiny.

Hag. 1:8 Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house, and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, said the LORD

Building His house is an opportunity to see God glorified in your life.

Hag. 2:18 – 19 Consider now from this day and upward, from the four and twentieth day of the ninth month, even from the day that the foundation of the LORD’s temple was laid, consider it. Is the seed yet in the barn? yes, as yet the vine, and the fig tree, and the pomegranate, and the olive tree has not brought forth: from this day will I bless you.

He said from that day He will bless you. So everyone committed to the building of His house expects to be blessed.

Serving in every aspect of the church is an opportunity.

Exo. 23:25 And you shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless your bread, and your water; and I will take sickness away from the middle of you.

Service is an opportunity to be blessed. It is important to place appropriate value on opportunities. Every great destiny is traceable to great opportunities. Every God ordained kingdom venture is a covenant opportunity that creates a prosperous future for the saints.

Opportunity is a fortune going about knocking our doors of destiny. You become a victim of misfortune when you missed them. You are not down because of your profession you are down because you don’t capitalize on your covenant opportunities. There are things that God has strategically arranged your way that if you respond to them they make for your peace. Pray that God will always open your eyes to see the opportunities before you. May your eyes be opened to them.

Service your covenant way to the top Serving in the church is your covenant opportunity to arrive at the utmost of God for your destiny. I know your destiny will shine as you take your opportunities in this church. This is your moment.
