GOD’S REWARD SYSTEM I (June 2, 2019)

Isa 2:3 And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

God is a God of ways:

There is the way to God’s rewards There is always the way to walk in with God. Until you walk in the way He commands you there is no reward. It is time to prepare yourself for divine rewards God’s own way

Deut. 1:35 – 36 “Surely there shall not one of these men of this evil generation see that good land, which I sware to give unto your fathers, Save Caleb the son of Jephunneh; he shall see it, and to him will I give the land that he hath trodden upon, and to his children, because he hath wholly followed the LORD”. KJV

It is what you commit yourself to wholly, that brings reward from Heaven. Your service is meant to be an avenue for a reward. God’s reward system is tied to your service in the Kingdom. Every man’s fruit is tied to his work.

Isa 3:10 Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.

Hear the Lord Jesus speak

Re 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

Your work in the kingdom determines the rewards that comes your way. It is time to work for Him with full commitment.

Hear this; Nu 18:31 And ye shall eat it in every place, ye and your households: for it is your reward for your service in the tabernacle of the congregation.

There is the reward for “the service” in the tabernacle of the congregation. Heavenly rewards answer for you in every place.

1Co 3:8 Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.

Every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour. God has a reward system in this life.

God is a rewarder

Hebrew 11:6 ….that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Not those who just seek Him but those who “diligently seek Him”.

Hear the Lord Jesus in Luke 18:28 – 30 28 Then Peter said, Lo, we have left all, and followed thee. 29 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God’s sake, 30 Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting.

“hath left” & “for the kingdom of God’s sake” God’s reward system is established based upon your service in the kingdom and for the kingdom sake. Many are in the kingdom but have not really “left all” Many are in the kingdom but are not real “followers” The time has come for you to connect with God’s reward system.

2Co 9:10 Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)

But note He multiplies only your seed sown. Without your seed sown, there is nothing for God to multiply back to you. Let what you have become “seeds” you can use to advance the kingdom of God and your life! God gives seed to the sower: He always ensures you have seeds to sow. He will multiply the seed sown (after it is sown to God). He increases the fruit of our righteousness.

Service is more valuable than your status.

When you’re in God’s reward system, no matter what’s happening in the world around you, divine rewards will put you over. We serve God who is a rewarder. Effective stewardship is the gateway to the top in the kingdom.

What is a reward?

A reward is something that is given in return for good or evil done or received or that is offered or given for some service or attainment

Rewards are yours to claim

Ge 15:1 – 2 1 After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward. 2 And Abram said, Lord GOD, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, and the steward of my I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward; what wilt thou give me

What wilt thou give me”; the true reward is what God gives Those who want true reward don’t look towards men Without haven’t worked or served or given there is nothing to claim.

You can’t work for Him and not be paid Ro 4:4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.

Avenues of Reward

Service: This means God only rewards service rendered.

The kind of Service that commands rewards

— Serve willingly: 1 Cor 9:16 – 17 For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel! 17 For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me.

Your reward is at the mercy of your willingness. – Isa. 1:19 Expression of willingness is shown in your eagerness to service

— Serve Joyfully: 1Cor. 9:7 God loves a cheerful giver

Deut 28:47 – 48 Because thou servedst not the LORD thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things; 48 Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which the LORD shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee.

— Serve Diligently: Diligence is careful and persistent work or effort. It is also a constant and earnest effort to accomplish what is undertaken; persistent exertion of body or mind. It is a commitment to your task. The diligent is always committed. A truly diligent person is never stranded.

Prov 22:29 Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men. KJV

— Serve Heartily: Colossians 3:23 – 24 23 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; 24 Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.

It is the Lord Jesus Christ you are serving.

It always accrue to your heavenly Account

Lu 18:22 Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.

Your service produces an “account with God in heaven”

Philippians 4:17 Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.

Keep filling your heavenly account

Mathew 6:19 – 20 19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

That means through your service and giving to the Lord, you’re; You are laying up for yourself, in your heavenly account. You can cash in that reward during times of need. Your heavenly bank is waiting for you to cash in and make a demand on your deposit. Call on God and make a demand on heaven!

Let us look at Hezekiah

Isaiah 38:2 – 3 2 Then Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall, and prayed unto the LORD, 3 And said, Remember now, O LORD, I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.

Hear how Hezekiah prayed:

Remember now: 1 — how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart 2 — I have done that which is good in thy sight.

How did God answer?

Isaiah 38:5 Go, and say to Hezekiah, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will add unto thy days fifteen years.

This is the result of a relationship with the Father in heaven for those who fellowship with Him and release their faith according to the Word. If you’ve been serving Him faithfully and a need arises, you can call on Him to remember your service.

It is your time to be REMEMBERED.
