ENGAGING THE HAND OF THE LORD IV (January 27, 2019)

Obeying divine order:

God is a God of order

The order is God first – Matthew 6:33

In other words, put God first, and the rest will become clear.

God will sort it out.

Most of our problems come from disorder.

We put our wants, our plans, our desires first.

And then — no surprise — it all blows up in our face.

Jesus doesn’t want that any more than we do.

The time has come for you to restore order to your life and release the blessing that Jesus has in mind for you.

Matthew 6:33

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

“My Life, God’s Way”

This is the all-time Invitation to Seek God’s Kingdom First.

I want to introduce to you today something I want you to start checking your life with from today.

Like your life’s gauge: “My Life, God’s Way”.

If you do, then get set

Your life is about to change.

Your life will stop falling apart.

Your life will henceforth display purpose.

“God’s way,” What is it like?

That is God is saying “Seek me above all else”,

God is saying “Put me first”.

God is saying “If you will truly put Him first — regardless of how you feel, then He will take care of “all these things” for you.

Let “My Life, God’s Way” become your compass.

This means you start thinking about your life in terms of God’s way.

God wants to be fully involved in your life,

God has His plan, for your life that is just for you.

As you make him the first priority in your life, you’ll witness first- hand just how much God wants to be present and active in your life.

His ever-abiding Presence will become more real to you than ever before.

God cares for you.

1 Peter 5:7

Casting the whole of your care — all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all — on Him; for He cares for you affectionately, and cares about you watchfully. – The Amplified Bible

As you start putting God first in the affairs of your life and begin to live in response to Him as he directs your life.

You will find that God is always there, taking care of the situations.

God’s way is better than ours, remember the scripture say “His is perfect”

Psalm 18:30

As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him.

When you do it God’s way and you let Him

31 For who is God save the LORD? or who is a rock save our God?

32 It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect.

33 He maketh my feet like hinds’ feet, and setteth me upon my high places.

34 He teacheth my hands to war, so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.

35 Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy right hand hath holden me up, and thy gentleness hath made me great.

36 Thou hast enlarged my steps under me, that my feet did not slip.

Then you

37 I have pursued mine enemies and overtaken them: neither did I turn again till they were consumed.

38 I have wounded them that they were not able to rise: they are fallen under my feet.

Why again? Because

39 For thou hast girded me with strength unto the battle: thou hast subdued under me those that rose up against me.

These and many more are the benefits of doing it God’s way

It is clear that God works all things out for your good.

It is clear that God has greater things in store for you.

It is clear that, God ascribes incredible value to you.

It is clear that, God will be with you every step of the way.

And God is your strength and deliverer.

It is clear that, God’s purpose for you will prevail.

It is clear that, God’s peace will guard your heart and mind.

It is clear God’s way is the best possible way you and I can live.

If you want God to provide all the things you need in life, then God will have to be given the first place in your life.

I am inviting you today to “the God first order of living”

As you put in order the things that are wanting as the bible says, then God’s favor will step in.

You can experience the benefits of a God-first life by seeking his kingdom and his righteousness first.

God is a God of order.

That’s why all through the scripture particularly in the Old Testament we read, “set in order” a lot.

David made it very much outstanding.

1 Chronicles 15:13

For because ye did it not at the first, the LORD our God made a breach upon us, for that we sought him not after the due order.

Divine order stipulates that God-first living is the only way to receiving the blessing we so seek.

Whatever force has first place in your life will drive your decisions and shape your future.

Whatever has first place in your life directs how you live it.

So who or what has first place for you?

What factor most determines how you choose to live?

What causes you to decide where to invest most of your time, money, and energy?

How do you select which relationships to nurture and which ones to keep casual?

What gets your best?

Whatever has first place in your life directs how you live it.

If you get the order of life right, God will meet our needs to the over-flowing blessings.

When order is restored, blessing is released.

The God-first life will help you distinguish between what is truly important and what is merely urgent.

A life out of order tends to bring in many complications as there is no proper direction or focus.

Disorder invites more disorder.

The fact of life is that you will always have “urgent needs”.

Order simplifies your choice by showing you what to hold on to and what to release.

Order brings clarity by strengthening your priorities into stronger focus.

When you get clear about what’s important, you also gain the confidence to tune out whatever competes for your attention.

This helps so that you can put your energy and strength into God and His kingdom first.

Putting things into their proper order leads to a balanced, blessed life.

God must be first. He cannot be second.

Some of us reading “seek first the kingdom of God” and may jump to the conclusion that truly seeking God means that material things should no longer matter to us.

That is not what I’m saying neither the scriptures.

Jesus did not say that we shouldn’t seek those things, but that we shouldn’t seek them first.

“your heavenly Father knows you need all these things”

There’s nothing wrong with money and the rest.

The trouble comes when we make acquiring those things our primary goal in life.

The primary thing we should wish for, crave, diligently seek is God.

And when this proper order is restored,

The blessing that is “these things” will be “given”.

The God-first life offers us focus.

Is the way your life is going the one you hoped for?

Is it a path you want to continue along or do you need to change?

Put order back into your life. “My life God’s way”

Jesus is Lord
