MAKING GOD FIRST I

Things To Remember

The office of Lordship and the throne were created for the one true God.

It is impossible for anyone or anything to replace God as First.

Lucifer was the first source of rebellion.

The Luciferian attitude will challenge God’s rightful position as lord of our lives because it is in direct opposition to God.

Adam and Eve were not created to be slaves to God, but to rule on his behalf as kings.

Adam and Eve disobeyed God and defiled themselves by partaking of what belonged to Him.

The curse came to Adam and Eve because they neglected to put God and His commands first.

God will not adjust His standard to our mindset, we must adjust our thinking to His standard.

Because God is sovereign, He has the right to make certain claims to our lives with which we aren’t always comfortable.

As God’s kingdom citizens, we have no spiritual ‘rights’ that over-ride the will and word of God.

An argument for fairness can result in unintended destruction.

Abraham was the first man with whom God made a covenant.

Abraham, before there was any requirement to do so, paid tithe of his spoils to Melchizedek.

Abraham showed an eager obedience to do as God commanded.

The result of Abraham’s faithfulness was a wonderful promise from God.

Abraham’s faith consisted of more than empty words—it consisted of absolute obedience.

Believing that God will do what He says becomes easier when we focus on God’s promise instead of our sacrifice.

God is weary, with our temporary and sporadic commitments to His being first.

God installed checks and balances in His system of Lordship to ensure that our confession was more than just words.

God gave Moses the applications to fulfilling the requirement of calling him lord and receiving his favor.

Every firstborn and firstfruit were God’s.

The firstborn—first fruits were to be given to God.

Giving God the first breaks the curse of the destroyer from all that remains.

Keeping what was God’s, allows the curse of the destroyer into our lives.

Those firstborns had to be destroyed by fire as a tithe offering.

God required the first of everything and if it wasn’t the first, it did not even count as being given!

The law of first things dictates that whatever is done with the first determines what happens to all the rest.

If His portion is not first, the blessing will not come to the rest of our lives.
