Matt.6:31 – 33
Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Let me start by asking these:
When you pray, what is it that you seek from the Father?
Do you ask Him to work for you or to work through you?
Do you go to Him with a list of personal requests?
Do you seek first the interest of his kingdom?

God wants us to seek as follows. Seeking His kingdom. Seeking His righteousness. All things being given. Seeking the interest of the kingdom of God is actually seeking after God first. Minding the interest of God first

Why is it called the kingdom of God? Because it is the territory where the plan and purpose of God reigns. It is where only what matters to God matter there. It is a place where God’s will is law. It is His kingdom; so to seek His kingdom we must know Him first.

Seek ye first:
It is time to start seeking the interest of the Lord here on earth

Hear the Apostle Paul.

Galatians 2:20
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless, I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Who are you living for?
What governs your interest?
What drives your motives?

Remember the Lord’s Prayer
Luke 11:2 – 3 And he said to them, When you pray, say, Our Father which are in heaven, Hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. Give us day by day our daily bread.

Let me ask you this again, What are your dreams for His kingdom? Do you truly long for more of God powerfully upon you? Do you truly desire to see the Hand of God manifest in your life? When you read how God mightily used men, do you wish such workings in your life today? I want you to know that God wants to use you for his glory.
Let the stories of scripture inspire you.

Jud 6:12 – 14 And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him, and said unto him, The LORD is with thee, thou mighty man of valour. And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the LORD be with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where be all his miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not the LORD bring us up from Egypt? but now the LORD hath forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites. And the LORD looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee?

Nu 27:18 And the LORD said unto Moses, Take thee Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the spirit, and lay thine hand upon him;

He that honour me I will honour
1Sa 2:30 …..but now the LORD saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.

How much kingdom-minded you are determines how much God will entrust into your hand.

Amos 5:4
For thus saith the LORD unto the house of Israel, Seek ye me, and ye shall live:

Yea truly it is time to seek Him. The truth is that is where your peace and prosperity lies.

Ps 34:10
The young lions lack and suffer hunger; But those who seek the LORD shall not lack any good thing. NKJV

Job 8:5 – 7
If you would earnestly seek God And make your supplication to the Almighty, If you were pure and upright, Surely now He would awake for you, And prosper your rightful dwelling place. Though your beginning was small, Yet your latter end would increase abundantly. NKJV

As you start seeking Him and His interest, He also starts prospering your rightful dwelling place and begins to increase you.

2 chron 26:5
And he sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God: and as long as he sought the LORD, God made him to prosper.

As long as he sought the LORD, God made him to prosper.

God said “I have found David” how come?
Acts 13:22 ….. I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.

I found him because;
He was “a man after mine own heart, He was a man “which shall fulfil all my will”. When He finds you, He will position you. This is the order of a person that God is set to raise.

2 Chron 16:9
For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth, thou shalt have wars.

The driving state of your heart is what determines what God does towards you. Kingdom dream is will guarantee your rise.

Every time God’s agenda is neglected, we struggle

Hag 1:9
Ye looked for much, and, lo, it came to little; and when ye brought it home, I did blow upon it. Why? saith the LORD of hosts. Because of mine house that is waste, and ye run every man unto his own house

Until His kingdom is in place in your heart, Your bread is not guaranteed
Your debts are never paid. This was why God positioned David on the throne.

Ps 132:1 – 5
LORD, remember David, and all his afflictions: How he sware unto the LORD and vowed unto the mighty God of Jacob; Surely I will not come into the tabernacle of my house, nor go up into my bed; I will not give sleep to mine eyes, nor slumber to mine eyelids, Until I find out a place for the LORD, a habitation for the mighty God of Jacob.

His drive in life was securing God’s place. God will not just position you; you must be on His agenda for Him to mind you. Start having dreams for kingdom promotion.

Seeking His righteousness.
Righteousness is simply a state of being right with God. It is the holiness of heart and purity of life. Righteousness includes being salt of the earth It is being a light to those around you. It is not hatred or being immoral, or being vindictive. It is not in worrying, not judging hypocritically or seeking revenge. It is in loving even our enemies and bearing the spiritual fruits of the spirit. It is in Righteousness as a way of life.

1 John 3:7
“Little children, let no one deceive you. Whoever practices righteousness is righteous, as he is righteous”.

If we are not practising righteousness then we are not righteous.
We can’t be righteous and sinful at the same time.

Heb. 12:14 “Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness, no one will see the Lord”.

Without holiness, no one will see the Lord

All things being given. If seeking His kingdom and His righteousness is our priority then, Basic needs will be faithfully supplied by Him. Just as He feeds the birds of the air. Just as He dresses the lilies of the field.

Seeking His kingdom and His righteousness is not about what we can get from God. It is about what we can give to Him. It is about honouring Him with a holy walk. It is about humble service to further His kingdom.
